Did you know that May is transporation month? Here are three crafts that include air, ground and water transportation to help you get involved in the celebration.
Craft 1 Airplane
You Will Need:
- Two paper towel tubes
- One bathroom tissue tube
- Acrylic paint
- Three wooden craft sticks
- Glue
Instructions:
- Paint the paper tubes to the desired colour for your plane. Paint on windows and other details.
- Measure 3 inches or 7.5 cm. from end of the paper towel tube and draw a line. Measure two inches or 5 cm. from this point and draw another line.
- Cut this section from half of the tube.
- Insert the other paper towel tube for the wing section and glue into place.
For the tail, cut a slit on each side of the body at the other end of the tube. Glue the bathroom tissue tube between the slits.
I used two cups from a clear plastic egg carton to make a stand for the plane. I also used one clear cup for the nose cone.

You Will Need:
- Half gallon or 2 litre milk carton
- Old magazines
- Hole punch
- Yarn
Instructions:
- Wash out the carton and cut off the top.
- Cut out lots of pictures of cars and trucks.
- Glue them all over the outside of the milk carton.
- Punch two holes on opposite sides of the carton near the top. Tie the yarn through the holes for a handle.
