I am into walking outside everyday with lots of musical inspiration. It is a great low impact, aerobic workout that allows me to do some great thinking and to be in nature. My mini iPod and faithful dog, Carlos, are never far. Here are some of my favorite walking songs that will inspire you to walk fast and feel good, and help you keep a good pace.

Pump It Up, Elvis Costello
This song will get you moving and get the heart pumping.

Sex Bomb, Tom Jones
Keep walking and you will be the sex bomb of Tom Jones’ dreams.

My Favorite Game, The Cardigans
Catchy, female fun band.

25 Miles, Edwin Starr
Get walking, Edwin Starr will keep you company.

Walking To New Orleans, Fats Domino
Don’t be Fats! Keep walking.

Walking on the Sun, Smashmouth

Hey Mami, Fannypack
This viral song will kick your butt to feel good about yourself. “Hey Mami, you sexy!”

Walk Your Blues Away, Professor Longhair
This song says it all. Get out there and feel better about yourself.

A Change Would Do You Good, Cheryl Crow
Cheryl knows. No get out there, people. Everyday is a Winding Road is also good.

The Frug, Rilo Kiley
“I can do the Frug, I can do the Fred E.” A song about dances, and hating someone’s girlfriend.

Respect, Aretha Franklin
Put this one on repeat and spell it with the sista. R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Black Tambourine, Beck
This is just an addictive Beck song that goes with the following song like bread and butter. Toe-tappin and foot movin’ fun.

Suicide Blonde, INXS
Just because Michael Hutchins is gone doesn’t mean you can’t still worship at the altar of his special-ness. Damn this song rocks.

What’s your favorite walk mix? I’d like to hear it…
