Nick Jonas was the Jonas Brother who started it all. At age seven, Nick started performing on Broadway and appeared in musicals such as A Christmas Carol, Annie Get Your Gun, Beauty and the Beast, and Les Miserables. His other brothers Kevin and Joe soon followed suite. Now the Jonas Brothers are a multi-millions dollar franchise with Disney Channel provenance.
Who I Am
Now, Nick Jonas is planning a January 2010 tour of Nick Jonas and the Administration, and the album Who I Am is to come out in February 2010. The Nick Jonas and the Administration Who I Am Tour begins on January 2, 2010 in Dallas, Texas and ends in Berkeley, California on January 30.
Solo Jonas Brother
It sounds like at age 17, the youngest Jonas Brother, Nick, is setting out to seek his solo fortune, especially given the title of the upcoming record, Who I Am. What better way to forge your own identity as a musical artist than by leaving your brothers behind and taking a road trip.
So who are the rest of the band members in the Administration?
The credentials of The Administration are impressive. John Fields is a producer and player and has worked with Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Pink and Jimmy Eat World. Fields play bass for Nick Jonas and the Administration. Michael Bland is a drummer who has played with Prince, Rob Thomas, Backstreet Boys and Soul Asylum. Sonny Thompson is a bass player and singer who has worked with Pops Staples, Prince and Jonny Lang. Tommy Barbarella is a keyboardist and composer and has worked with Prince, Ziggy Marley, Art Garfunkel and Love & Rockets.
Who I Am, the Single
Sample or purchase the new single Who I Am on iTunes and give this maiden single from Nick Jonas a listen. Jonas might be compared to a lighter (and whiter) Michael Jackson. Nick Jonas and the Administration made their television debut earlier this month on a Grammy Nominations concert on CBS. Tickets are already on sale for Nick Jonas and the Administration. Since Nick Jonas is already a 10-year veteran in show business and music it’ll probably be a great show.
