Soon mil lions of people will be pouring over pages of Black Friday ads in the Sunday paper in search of the best deals.  No other shopping day in the year comes close to the madness that surrounds Black Friday, but at the same time no other sale seems so brief.  To get the best Black Friday deals and plan your chilly morning adventure appropriately requires more than just pouring through the local paper on Thanksgiving morning.  To get the best Black Friday deals savvy shoppers can also make use of the Internet and save themselves a lot of pointless aggravation and time.

Finding Black Friday Deals Ahead of Time

Making the best decision on which store to go to first on Black Friday requires lots of advance information.  Instead of waiting until Thanksgiving to find local deals try looking on web sites likeBlackFridayInfo. These sites aggregate Black Friday sales prices by looking at advance copies of store ads.  Some stores such as Walmart go to great lengths to prevent their Black Friday ads from appearing on these sites before their release date, but people still find a way to spread this information around.  Some of the aggragator sites provide search functions to let you search for a particular brand or type of item to help you narrow the amount of stores you need to consider.

Moving Beyond the Black Friday Ads

There is nothing that says that the best deals on a particular item will be in a Black Friday advertisement.  Online vendors are clamoring just as hard for people's dollars, and to get them many will be slashing prices just as hard or harder than brick and mortar retailers.  After you have found the items you need in a traditional Black Friday ad for a local store use a web site likePriceGrabber or PriceWatch to do a quick search on the current prices for that same item online. If one of the stores you are hoping to shop at also has an online store check to see if that online store will be offering the same cheap deals.  You might be able to log in at midnight and grab the deal without even having to set foot in the store.

Some shoppers might also consider shopping on what is now known as Cyber Monday, an online counterpart to Black Friday where the online retailers have a chance to drop their prices and grab some sales after the brick and mortar madhouse has subsided.   Between Cyber Monday and Black Friday smart shoppers can save a bundle when shopping this holiday season.
