Thanks t o significant amounts of advertising most everyone is familiar with job search sites such as Monster and Career Builder.  These major job search web sites provide access to tens of thousands of jobs all over the world, but being noticed in such a large sea of applicants is difficult.  There are a number of smaller, more specialized job search sites on the internet that, while not as well known, still provide access to many high quality jobs in very specialized areas.

What Are Some Niche Job Search Web Sites?

With a little bit of research almost any job specialty can be found on the Internet.  Some of the more common and widely used niche job search sites include sites for journalism jobs , teaching jobs , and law and legal positions , as well as medical and health care jobs .  There are dozens more examples and all can be found by doing a fairly simple web search through Google or another search engine.

Once a user finds a site that specializes in a specific niche job market they should examine the site to see if the site is merely providing access to online job postings or if it is also providing online resume services as well.  Some web sites allow you to post an online resume, but in general it may be preferred to use the services of another site such as Visual CV (Visual Curriculum Vitae) to publish a more detailed and visually pleasing online resume to distribute to any online employers that you might be interested in.
