You can go to a hair salon or to a department store and spend a lot of money on brand name cosmetics such as Esteé Lauder, Clarins, Chanel or Aveda. While these are high quality beauty products and cosmetics, you don't have to spend so much cash to look like you paid a million bucks.
- Consider the drug store- Cover Girl, Revlon and Almay are all brand names of cosmetic companies that create beauty products for less. Visit your local CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreen's and familiarize yourself with the products that are available for you to purchase in the cosmetics section.
- Home spa- Instead of going to a commerical spa or beauty salon to look better, consider giving yourself the spa treatment at home. It's easy to give yourself an inexpensive facial using products that you can find in your refrigerator such as cucumbers, honey, lemon and even black tea. Consider giving yourself a free and pampering manicure or pedicure to help your hands and feet look more beautiful.
- Shampoo and soap- I dare you to give up your expensive shampoo and try a very inexpensive brand of shampoo such as Suave. You may find that the inexpensive shampoos work just as well as the pricey, brand names of hair care products. Go ahead, give it a try!
- Moisturize naturally- Instead of using expensive brand name cosmetics for your body moisturizer, go to your kitchen and get out the olive oil and give it a try. Many expensive beauty products use natural oils as the base for their product, so can you! Other oils to try include almond and coconut. Experiment with different natural oils to see which works best for your skin type.
Perhaps the best secret of all for looking good for less is keeping the secret to yourself. No one needs to know how much you spend on your cosmetics or where you shop. They will see that you take good care of yourself and that you look beautiful!
