Give that blush brush the brush off! That’s right, toss it out and apply your makeup like a pro! There are different types of brushes for each type of makeup: blush, eye shadow, brows and lips. By using the right type of makeup brush, you can achieve a professional look in no time.

Stop using your fingers and a sponge to apply your foundation and use a concealer/foundation brush for a flawless look. Perfect!

You may think that the appropriate brush for your powder would be the large, puffy type; oh contraire, using a smaller flat brush will actually help you achieve better application and allow you to apply the powder on smaller areas of your face and neck.

For blush application try using:

  • A round or sweeping brush is the most common, but keep in mind, the bigger the brush, the more blush. If you have a small face and cheeks, a large brush is going to cover most of your face.
  • A push brush with a flat surface that pushes the blush onto the face.
  • An angles brush to help contour your cheeks.

For captivating eyes, use these brushes:

  • Oval eye brush for the lids.
  • Mini oval smudge brush for softening eyeliner or applying shadow around the eye.
  • Round tip shadow brush is perfect for the crease of your eye.
  • Synthetic angled brush can be used for applying eyeliner and can be used to fill in the brows.

To define those scrumptious lips, a small flat brush will help you create fine, smooth lines and apply just the perfect amount of lipstick.

See, there’s nothing to it. The right makeup brush will have you looking like a superstar!
