Many of us scour our favorite magazines to find out what our favorite celebs are wearing and what they consider fashionable. Recently, a few of our favorite lady celebs, Liv Tyler, Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, and Leighton Meester, were in the Entertainment Weekly magazine which revealed their fashion choices at the Costume Institute Gala.
Liv Tyler entered the red carpet wearing an amazing 1940’s inspired, blue sequenced dress. Tyler pulled out all the stops by choosing this classic and timeless ensemble. This dress was courtesy of Stella McCartney who is known for “ready-to-wear” women’s attire.
Kate Hudson was a vision in gold as she strutted down the red carpet. She made her outfit stand out by simply letting it stand on its own with next to no accessories. She too chose a piece by Stella McCartney. This was definitely a good choice for Kate because it flattered her figured and gave her that little something extra.
Anne Hathaway wore an hourglass inspired, grape colored dress by Marc Jacobs. She was not as successful as Liv or Kate in her choice of overall look, but she definitely did a good job of stepping out of her comfort zone and that’s exciting to see.
Finally, Leighton Meester walked the red carpet with a very detailed and elaborate two piece by Louis Vuitton. Even though Entertainment Weekly had less than great comments about this ensemble, I have to say overall it’s not terrible. The top piece is nice by itself and if it was paired with black leggings instead of matching ones, I think this ensemble would have had better comments written about it.
No matter what you think of these four outfits, they give us a look as to what’s out there in the ever changing world of fashion and even inspire us to go a litter further with our own wardrobes. Don’t be shy, be bold.
