Let's face it, being overstressed is not pretty. To much stress will make you break out in zits, wrinkles or hives, plus give you gray hairs. With the holiday season coming up, it is hard to remember that the holidays are supposed to be fun! So here are a few ways to make the holidays stress free and you more beautiful.

  • Shop on line. Go to a reliable place like Amazon and get all of your presents there. Then all you need to do is gleefully shop for stocking stuffers and holiday outfits!

  • Quit doing everything yourself. Delegate. If someone offers to do something for you let them. Ask your spouse to do things on your list that you know he (or she) can do well. Hire someone to take on a few tasks if you can.

  • Declutter. Take a couple of hours and walk around your home with a box. Just throw in twenty or thirty items to donate. Then find twenty to thirty items to throw away. Trust me you'll feel better. Do this a couple of times this season listening to holiday music.

  • Start easy and fun traditions. My family goes for a car ride every year and we look at Christmas lights in our neighborhood. We always decorate the house for Christmas on “black Friday” instead of shopping. I have hot cocoa, and candy canes. We listen to holiday music and watch holiday movies. This way we are not dealing with crowds and I look forward to these little things each year and so does my family.

  • Do not take out all the decorations this. Do not feel pressure to do everything every year. If you have complainers (that you are not doing everything), recruit them to help you then.

  • Have a spa day. If you can not afford to go to the actual spa, then make one at home. Cobble together a facial mask, nail kit, a DVD, lotion and some bath salts. Lock your bedroom door, make a green tea and have a little chocolate. You will be on an instant vacation!
