There are swarms of people with over plucked, under plucked, and strangely plucked eyebrows. Why? Well, because it is hard to get eyebrows right. We know that it must be pretty hard or there wouldn't be beauty professionals that have careers completely about the eyebrows. Plus, there are lines of products that are all about helping us get our brows right at home too.
Why do these two little patches of hair get so much attention? The right shaped eye brows can really transform your face. They can give you an almost instant makeover and face lift all without plastic surgery to boot!
Here are a few tips to get your eyebrows into shape. The right shape.
-
Get a professional to wax your eyebrows. Ask people you know who is good in your area. This can give you a good base for tweezing in the correct spots. You can probably go six or even twelve months if you are good at keeping them up.
-
Try stencils. Many companies now have stencils to help get your eyebrows the right shape and size.
-
Get a cheap white eyeliner. You can line around the outside of your brows until you see a shape that you like. It is easy to wash off and start over. Just use eye make up remover. Pluck in the white areas.
-
Get a good grippy pair of tweezers. Make sure they line up perfectly at the tip and are not too light of a metal. Otherwise plucking will be more painful than it needs to be and frustrating. Try Revlon diamond tip tweezers. The diamond tips make them extra grippy.
-
Long straggly hairs? Get a pair of mustache scissors. Using an eye brow brush or toothbrush brush your eyebrows straight up and snip the hairs a little above the line of your brow. You will get a nice groomed look.
-
Be sure to fill in your brow with an eye brow pencil. As a rule use an eye brow pencil that is a shade lighter than your natural hair color. For example if your hair is naturally light brown then use a dark blond pencil. This prevents your brows from looking to dark or drawn on.
-
Over plucked? At Sephora you can find a line that is dedicated to eye brows called Anastasia. They have a product called Nu Brow. It is a serum that you paint onto your brows with a brush and promotes hair growth. I tried it and it did work for me! I heard that this formula was actually developed for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.

If you are serious about your eye brows you can shell out seventy five big ones for the super Anastasia Eye brow kit.
