Do you find yourself opting for a salad from your favorite fast food restaurant in an effort to choose a healthier option?  Salads can certainly be a healthier choice than some fast food options, but that’s not always the case!  Learn which salads to choose and which to ditch as well as how to build a stellar salad at home.

Worst Fast Food Salads:

  •  McDonald’s Premium Caesar Salad with Crispy Chicken: 540 calories and 36 g fat
  •  Burger King TenderCrisp Garden Salad (with ranch dressing): 590 calories and 41 g fat
  • Wendy’s Chicken BLT Salad (with honey mustard dressing): 640 calories and 45 g fat
  • Jack in the Box Club Salad with Crispy Chicken (with southwest dressing):  750 calories and 55 g fat
  • Taco Bell Taco Salad: 860 calories and 46 g fat

Best Fast Food Salads:

  • Burger King TenderGrill Garden Salad (with fat free ranch dressing): 300 calories and 9 g fat
  • McDonalds Premium Bacon Ranch Salad with Grilled Chicken (with low-fat balsamic dressing): 300 calories and 12 g fat
  • Carl’s Jr. Charbroiled Chicken Salad (with low-fat balsamic dressing): 305 calories and 9 g fat
  • Jack in the Box Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad (with low-fat balsamic dressing): 361 calories and 14 g fat
  • Wendy’s Mandarin Chicken Salad (no crispy noodles and half the dressing): 385 calories and 18 g fat
