It's time to say thanks to dad for all he does. Why not cook him up a healthy feast to show him how much you care and to enjoy some good food and good conversation!  The following ideas transform typical guy fare into tasty, lower fat alternatives that aren’t a bit wimpy.  He’ll appreciate the effort and home-cooked goodness too!

Breakfast Blunder: Biscuits with sausage gravy & eggs (780 calories)

Breakfast Wonder: Toasted English Muffin, 2 scrambled eggs, 2 slices turkey bacon and cantaloupe wedges (380 calories)

Total deficit: 500 calories

Lunch Blunder:  Bacon cheeseburger and fries (1327 calories) 

Lunch Wonder: Healthy Rueben: 3 ounces turkey pastrami, ¼ cup sauerkraut, 1 slice Swiss cheese and 2 tablespoons low-fat thousand island dressing on rye bread.  Serve with a handful of baked kettle chips and pickle spear (570 calories)

Total deficit: 757 calories

Dinner Blunder: Fried chicken breast, mashed potatoes and buttered corn on the cob (764 calories)

Dinner Wonder: Teriyaki marinated chicken breast topped with grilled pineapple, bell pepper and red onion, roasted red potatoes and corn on the cob brushed with olive oil and garlic (489 calories)

Total deficit: 275 calories
