Summer means shorts, and shorts mean showing off your legs! If your thighs make you scream, try these quick and easy thigh exercises.
You’ll trim your thighs and your butt with this exercise! Remember to keep your abdominals tight while doing this exercise and don’t arch your back! For extra support you might want to put a rolled up towel, a small pillow, or even your hands under your bottom. This will help take the strain off of your lower back. And if you can not do this exercise with straight legs, you can keep them slightly bent as well.
5 Minute Scissor Leg Exercise For Thighs
- Lie on your back and bring your legs up to the ceiling.
- Keeping your legs straight, open your legs, letting them drop open as far as you feel comfortable .
- Slowly bring your legs closed and squeeze them together.
- Cross your legs over (just as if you were crossing your fingers).
- Bring your legs back to the center, together, and repeat.
Keep your legs straight while doing the scissors.
Think this is too easy? If you want, add light ankle weights. The extra weight means an extra work out – but remember it also adds strain on your hip joints and your back. Always check with your doctor before using weights or starting any kind of exercise routine!
