Whether you realize it or not, numbers are an important part of your life. When you think about it, every important event that has happened to you can be associated with a number or a date. The day you were born, your first day of school, and your first job all correspond with a specific number.

A basic understanding of numerology can actually be a big help to you if it is used in the right way. At its most simple form, numerology attaches meanings to numbers. It is frequently used to determine an individual’s personality, strengths and talents, inner needs, and talents. Whether you use numerology to re-examine your life, discover unexplored opportunities, or determine your next career move, it can be a useful tool to understand yourself and your loved ones better. With a complete view of your personality, you are better able to make the most of your strengths!

The tradition of associating numerical values to letters actually dates back thousands of years. The ancient Greeks and Romans dabbled in numerology quite a bit, using numbers to tell fortunes and determine the best times to complete various activities. Some people even consider it to be the forefather of modern mathematics!

So, how does numerology work? It’s actually quite scientific! Each letter has a numeric value that represents a certain vibration. The most important numbers correspond to the name and your date of birth. The sum of your birth date determines your life path, meaning the natural characteristics of your personality that stay with you for your entire life. By applying mathematical formulas to the numbers representing your name and birth date, a numerologist can determine four primary elements that provide an in-depth character analysis.

Although numerology has not been scientifically proven, it can be a valuable tool that can help guide you in your next course of action in life. So, if you are interested in learning how you will fare in a particular interview or whether your new car will last for a long time, just consult the numbers!  If you want to learn more about numerology, you can pick up a book or how-to manual at almost any bookstore.
