The swine flu is a serious threat and we should all prepare for it.  The threat comes from how rapidly this virus is spreading, not from the severity of the virus when it strikes.

The best possible preparations may not be what you think.

We all should:

  1. strengthen our immune systems
  2. avoid contacting the virus
  3. avoid passing on the virus to others if we become sick

Read Dr. Mercola's excellent advice that puts the swine flu in the proper perspective. For most people, the bottom line is that vaccines are a greater risk than the flu itself. So get healthy and you'll survive the flu if it comes your way. Your healthy body may even take care of it--without you ever realizing you had it.

How to get healthy? Check out my All is Well website for many spiritual and physical things you can do to build up your immune system.

If you want a short but incomplete list of preparations for the flu, Dr. Mercola recommends:

  • Maximize your vitamin D levels. Get a little sunshine.
  • Avoid sugar, wheat, corn, dairy and other allergens
  • Rest
  • Learn a technique like EFT to deal with stress
  • Exercise regularly
  • Take an Omega-3 supplement like Krill oil
  • Wash your hands often
  • Eat garlic
  • Stay away from vaccines and hospitals

Remember that germs don't cause disease; they just enjoy life and reproduce when they find an unhealthy body to live in. So keep your body healthy and when the H1N1 bug, or any other for that matter, drops in to visit you, they'll be quickly taken care of by your robust immune system.
