There are many places on the internet to enjoy free yoga classes and downloadable stuff to aid in building a practice at home. Doing these classes can be a great and inexpensive way to figure out if yoga is right for you. You can also use these classes and tools when you are traveling.
Here are a few of my favorites for free classes and tools.

Yoga Today is a top notch site with professional looking videos. They are filmed outside usually with a back drop of mountains. They have a huge selection of classes. Most classes run 50 minutes or more! They have several styles of classes and teachers. Unfortunately they are not downloadable to an Ipod or anything like that so you have to do your yoga near your computer.

Yoga Yack is a great site with tons of free classes and information. This site is great for the Yoga beginner or someone looking to take their practice a little deeper by learning more concepts of Yoga like pranayama (breath control), meditation and more. They also offer a variety of teachers and backgrounds. These classes do not appear to be downloadable either. So just make space for your mat in front of you computer and enjoy.

Yogamazing has tons of classes, most of them appear to be around twenty minutes or so. The nice thing about these classes is they are downloadable for free on Itunes. Chaz is the instructor in all of the videos and he is very good. The production is not quite as good as some others, and he talks quite a bit on the videos before the class starts. Otherwise the convenience definitely makes Yogamazing worth checking out.

Yoga Cards is a site that provides printable cards. The beauty of this site is you can print out these cards and personalize a yoga sequence to fit your needs. The cards are really nicely done. They not only show the pose but tips and pictures of how to get into the poses safely.

.....and for the advanced yogi,

AshtangaYoga.info doesn't have video but they do have several of the Ashtanga style yoga sequences available for printing out. So if you are an Ashtanga junkie and want to practice this demanding practice at how check out this site for cheat sheets so you don't miss a move.

Try one of these free ways to try yoga!
