The rumo rs have broken that “SexyBack” singer Justin Timberlake has ditched Jessica Biel, his girlfriend of three years. Unlike his breakup with fellow singer Britney Spears, Timberlake has hardly displayed any visible signs of heartbreak. If you’re hoping to become the next Mrs. Timberlake, it may already be too late! There will be no follow-up to “Cry Me a River” in this breakup because Timberlake has already moved on to more tropical waters.
The 28 year-old pop star has supposedly moved on to a younger woman—none other than Rihanna, of Chris “Beat Her Down” Brown fame.
We are hardly surprised by this news. Back in 2008, JT and Rihanna collaborated on the steamy music video for the songstress’ single “Rehab”. The singers were reported to have gotten up close and personal during the production of the video, which involves the pair frolicking and getting very intimate on the hood of a car. All of Timberlake’s grinding and gyrating on the 20-year old skimpily-clad Barbadian pop star must have infuriated Biel, who is notorious for keeping her boyfriend on a rather short leash.
Timberlake must have stocked up on the flowers and candy after production ended because the couple managed to hold it together for a year following the video’s release…until now! Conflicting reports about their status are flying all over the place, but Justin is reported to have broken up with Jessica over the phone, and was then spotted in a tête-à-tête with Rihanna following the Video Music Awards VMAs on September 13th while Jessica was busy filming a movie in Canada.
While Justin was busy climbing all over Rihanna, Jessica had set her sights on other heights: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. The actress is aiming for a January climb to raise awareness for clean water worldwide.
This is a basic human necessity that needs to be addressed now," Biel said in a statement about her decision to climb the more than 19,000 feet to the mountain's peak.
We ask: since when does Jessica Biel care about clean water? Is this some kind of weird coping mechanism to distract herself from Justin’s philandering eyes?
The moral of the story is that Justin will never get enough celebrity girlfriends. He has previously dated actress Cameron Diaz and fellow Mousekateer Britney Spears, both of whom Justin dumped because he claimed to value his independence and single status. Of course, the serial-dater quickly moved on to other women shortly thereafter, giving Justin a failing grade on the commitment scale. Rihanna, his next rumored girlfriend, seems like an excellent choice of rebound material because the “Rehab” singer is much too young for JT to “put on a ring on it”.
Justified or not, Justin needs to remember his own words, “what goes around comes around”, and we are just not talking about Rihanna’s hips.
