This multi-award-winning site offers very user-friendly information on Cell Biology, Microbiology, Immunology and Microscopy as well as visually-oriented interactive tutorials on several different concepts central to cellular biology, including cell cycle, mitosis, meiosis. Virtual Cell Biology Classroom
Web-based resources that supplement an actual college-level cell biology class. The Virtual Cell Biology Classroom includes Powerpoint lectures, review questions, quiz questions, class exercises, animations and links to relevant online reference articles.

Adopt a Microbe
This Blogger blogspot, created by student Emma Lurie in 2006, is simply fantastic. Where else can you find cartoon depictions of Herpes virus that actually make you exclaim, “Awwwww!” Kidding aside on the adorable graphics, the information presented for each type of microbe is truly educational and engaging. Adopt a Microbe provides one of the most enjoyable methods of studying microbiology; a great supplement to more techical sites.
