U.S. ast ronauts aboard the International Space Station couldn’t believe their eyes when they looked down and saw what looked like crop circles in the ice. Located in Lake Baikal, in Siberia, a circular area of darker, thinner ice approximately 2.7 miles in diameter appeared. Is this the work of aliens?
Before we get ready to board our space ships, there is an explanation. A marine ecologist from Wellesley College in Massachusetts says that the ring is the result of methane gas rising from the floor of lake. The gas rises and warm water swirls below the ice, melting it.
Reports say that the Russian government has been tracking and documenting strange ice circle formations on their Ministry of Natural Resources web site.
Sorry folks..guess we’ll have to keep our eyes on the skies for E.T. to show up somewhere else.
