Since we still collectively agree that cars are our vehicle of choice, fossil fuel and all, what are the greenest and most eco-friendly cars for 2010 and why? Gas mileage continues to be one of the most important consideration when shopping for a new car or vehicle.

Smart fortwo, $11,151-$19,521 (US)
This super small car is no favored in big cities, where this tiny vehicle can squeeze into tiny parking spots and save huge amounts of cash for parking. The 36 mpg also makes the smart fortwo a green vehicle.

Honda Insight, starts at $19,800 (US)

Volkswagen Jetta TDI, starts at $20,000 (US)
