- Discuss when and where it is okay to use the cell phone
- Share information with your child what your cell phone plan is and how it impacts them (i.e. how many minutes they have to talk, whether or not there is additional charges for texting, etc.)
- Show your child how to use the cell phone correctly
Only you can make the decision whether or not to allow your child to use a cell phone at school. There are several pros and cons to take into consideration before you can make that decision for your child. When you do make your decision, make sure to explain your decision to your child. This decision should not be based on your child whining or making the comment, "But all my friends have one."
