Many people, at some time in their life, will feel the need to find a new spiritual path. They may feel that the spirituality they are following does not give them enough fulfillment or enrichment. Or they may have not had any particular spiritual belief but now wish to explore one. If you yourself feel the desire to begin a new spiritual journey but are unsure of where to begin the following can offer some ideas to point you in the right direction.
The first thing you should do is to spend some time in quiet reflection or meditation. Think about the personal values and morals that you find important and how you would like to apply these in your spiritual life. Listen to your intuition and inner wisdom to guide you in the right direction. Once you begin to feel centered and are secure with the direction you want to begin, start doing some research.  There are many ways in which you can research including:

Online research-Type in keywords of spiritual beliefs you feel drawn to such as Wicca, Hinduism, Unitarian Universalism, etc. and see what types of articles and information comes up. Just keep in mind that not all information of the Web is accurate so check with various sites and if possible find out from what sources the information is drawn from.

Hit the books-Go to your local library and browse through the philosophy or religion section. If you have a particular book in mind and can’t find it ask the librarian. Even if your library doesn’t have that book they can possibly order it for you, often for a small fee.

Ask questions-If you have a friend or acquaintance who follows a belief you’re interested in, and they’re comfortable discussing it, ask them for information. If they don’t know the answers to some of your questions perhaps they can suggest good reading material or other helpful resources. If there is a church, temple, group etc. in your area you can also contact them and ask if you can talk to someone who can help you with your questions. Online groups and forums can also be helpful places as are local groups that are connected with your spiritual interests.

As you go about finding answers to your questions and doing your research be sure to always listen to your inner or “higher” wisdom. If you come across information that doesn’t feel right to you, listen to that inner guidance and stay away from it. If someone tries to talk you out of following a spiritual path that feels right for you, don’t be swayed by their opinions. Be open-minded though, but at the same time let your spirit guide you in a direction that feels comfortable to you. A spiritual journey is one with endless possibilities so listen to your inner guidance, do your research and let your spirit take wing.
