Love spells...you can find them offered on a myriad of sites on the Web and in a variety of books. For many people who follow various Pagan traditions such as Wicca or other earth-based spiritual beliefs, the ritual of love spells can be a common practice. But if you decide that you want to win someones love or heal a wounded relationship with a magical spell, its very important to take some things into consideration beforehand. Because in love magick, as in all the rituals of various Pagan beliefs, there are certain ethics that need to be remembered.

One of the very basic beliefs concerning Pagan love spells is that you never tryto make a particular person love you. This is considered manipulation, and its also not a good start in a relationship if you have to magickally force someone into loving you. The same applies to a broken or flagging relationship. If you try to force the other person into feeling love for you when its just not there for them anymore, again it would be considered manipulation on your part. Plus, it could just be setting up a recipe for disaster by extending a relationship that isnt healthy anymore.

Other unethical love spells are the type that are designed to cause harm. Such as trying to break up another relationship in order to make a particular person available or seeking revenge on someone who has hurt you emotionally. Any spell that is not considered constructive in nature is unethical and can also end up causing you emotional and spiritual harm in the long run.

So how exactly do you perform a love spell in an ethical way? The best way to do this is to try and draw love toward you, but not focus on any one particular person. In other words, the focus should be on making yourself someone who attracts love...kind of a love magnet so to speak. One of the best ways to do this is to focus on spells and rituals that help you feel better about yourself, such as those designed to boost your confidence, help you feel more compassionate or even more attractive. These spells focus inward rather than projecting outward and can be helpful ways to strengthen certain positive attributes within you.

If you are looking to heal a relationship thats in trouble, its best to use spells or rituals that focusonpositive remedies for any problemsthat are happening between you and your loved one. Such as spells or rituals that encourage better communication, more compassion or a better love life. If you are involved in a relationship where a partner or spouse is violent toward you, no amount of spell work will help; you need to get out of that relationship right away.

One more bit of advice concerning love spells is to keep in mind that the spell itself is only part of the matter. To have a better and healthier love life you yourself need to put it into action!

Love spells can be a good part of a well-rounded spiritual practice as long asthey aredone in a realistic, healthy and ethical manner.
