Strengthen and Protect Your Aura

The electromagnetic energy field surrounding our bodies, known as an aura, is a life force energy that is a good indicator of a person's physical and emotional state of health. Your aura not only reflects what you are feeling inside, it also protects you from negative outside influences. A healthy, strong aura helps deflect negativity that people around you may be experiencing and which may leave you feeling drained and ungrounded.  In order to keep your aura functioning properly it's important to strengthen and protect it on a regular basis.

Take care of your Body

To have a healthy aura you need to take care of your physical health. A poor diet can deplete your aura so eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water. Exercise regularly and be sure to get plenty of fresh air.

Think Positive

Use positive affirmations to strengthen the flow of positive energy within you. More than just repeating the words, let yourself feel the message of the affirmation within your spirit. If you find yourself drifting toward negative, self-defeating thoughts replace them with something uplifting.

Meditate

Take time to meditate at least twice a week. Try whichever meditation technique works best for you or use a variety of different techniques.

Crystals

Keep a crystal with you or near you to help strengthen and protect your aura. Crystals such as quartz and citrine are good for aura protection. But many people feel drawn to a particular type of crystal so use whichever feels best for you.

Visualization

Visualize yourself surrounded by a pure, golden light or visualize each of your chakras surrounded by this light. Some people choose something else to visualize such as flowers or a swirl of colors. Just make sure it feels positive and calming to you.

Connect with Nature

Spend time outdoors every day and connect with the healing energy of nature. Take a lunch break in a park, walk around your block or just sit outside in your backyard. Let the sights and sounds of the outdoors be a soothing balm to your spirit.

Take time each day to do something that's positive for your aura and experience the positive, grounding energy this creates.
