Hotels in center of Madrid?

Hi everyone,

I am coming to Madrid to spend 3 days there next month. Could you recommend me any good and not too expensive hotel in or near center? The "problem" is I'm coming with my girlfriend so I wouldn't like to stay with her at some lousy place. We don't need some 5 star hotels of course, just decent place with all the usual stuff. I have no idea how much such hotels cost daily (?) so any help would be really great.

Hotel in Madrid

Try the hotel Phillepe IV on Via Grande in central madrid. It is clean, safe and reasonabley priced. The owners, two sisters, both speak fluent english. It is close to a subway stop and within walking distant of museums and shopping.
