The little island of Dominica (not the Dominican Republic) is a great place for adventure. Although less than 300 square miles, it has a 5000 foot volcano with 365 rivers (so they say) that flow out to all parts of the island. There are old French and English forts to explore in the jungle that covers the entire island. There are many waterfalls and mangrove swamps. There's even a Carib indian reservation with beautiful, colorful and traditional homes. The capital city, Roseau, is fun with non-stop Reggae music every evening. It isn't a very touristy island. They call it the Nature Island. It's more for back-packers.
