Visit to Swiss

Me and my friend's family are travelling to Switzerland in July. Please tell me the following:

1. Name a few Budget hotels / service apartments (with kitchen) in a safe surrounding. (Approx. USD 50-100 per night)
2. Key Places of interest (for a 3-4 days trip)
3. Recommended area for stay for a family with kids (close to super markets)
4. Which city should be preferred Zurich/ Geneva or both or any other city/ town a must visit?
5. What is the main mode of transport for local sight seeing and how much normally does it cost?

I hope weather will be gud and with no rains ?

Are 3- days enough ?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
As you know Switzerland is a very good place for enjoying vacations (especially summer time). As my personal experience, 3 to 4 days would be very short periods. Anyways, there are some tourist attractions in Geneva and Zurich which I like most:

Geneva:
Miniature Train Rides
Aquaparc
Geneva Beach
Bâtiment des Forces Motrices
River Cruises
Vivarium Elapsoidea

Zurich:
Limmat River
Roman Baths
Sprüngli Chocolate Factory
Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn
City Beach Resorts
Urania Observatory
Zurich Zoo / Zoological Gardens

You can also find many decent restaurants and hotels in Locarno.
