Paul Newman (Paul Leonard Newman) was born on January 26, 1925 and passed away on September 26, 2008, of complications due to lung cancer. He was known for his acting and directing, and also for his work with charities, especially his own which he co-founded called Newman's Own. This company donated all post-tax profits and royalties to charity.
Newman starred in such movies such as Exodus, The Hustler, Harper, Cool Hand Luke, Slap Shot, The Sting and Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance Kid.
He was married to his wife Joanne Wood.
